Today, when we want to recycle something, we have to pitch it into a container and wait a week or two for someone to cart it away.  And if the town in which you are living doesn’t have a free recycle program, you have to pay for someone to haul it away.  Vast recycle centers act as large garbage dumps slightly refined to pick through the trash and make it usable again.  It costs a lot to support such an operation, which basically handles the concentration of cast-off byproducts of individuals.

Wouldn’t it be so much better if each individual could handle their own recycling?
